Boca Raton is the southernmost city in Palm Beach County. It is a beachfront destination city for tourists enjoying beach vacations and "snowbirds" from all over the United States and the world. Known for luxury, Boca Raton offers sandy beaches, excellent parks, fine dining, and world-renowned accommodations.
To locals, there are distinct sections, the most notable of which are "West Boca" and "East Boca". The width from west to east at the widest point is approximately 10 miles. For many, the "dividing line" is Jog Road, which becomes Powerline Road south of Glades Road.
"East Boca" includes homes, townhomes and condos, including waterfront properties on the beach of the Atlantic Ocean and others with views of the Intracoastal Waterway.
East Boca attractions include Mizner Park, Royal Palm Plaza, Gumbo Limbo Park, Spanish River Park (beach), Red Reef Park (Beach and Executive Golf Course), South Beach Park (Beach), the Boca Raton Art Museum, Patch Reef Park (with children's play area), Sugar Sand Park (with children's play area and hands on museum) and much more. Of course there are myriad opportunities for dining, drinks and entertainment.
"West Boca" is generally known as the area of unincorporated Palm Beach County that has a Boca Raton mailing address, but is not within the city limits of the City of Boca Raton. West Boca is more suburban, with large single family homes in planned communities, many with homeowners associations and attractive amenities. There are several country club communities, both with and without mandatory membership, and golf courses open to the public. There are great parks, including South County Regional Park, with a water park, Osprey Public Golf Course, ball fields, Daggerwing Nature Center and board walk, many public meeting and picnic areas, and an amphitheater. Loggers Run Park has ball fields and a skate park.
Areas served include Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Highland Beach, Boynton Beach, Deerfield Beach, Parkland, Wellington, South Palm Beach, Manalapan, and Ocean Ridge.
